Interviews for Trumbull dog warden begin next week
WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners are expected to begin interviewing for the new dog warden position next week.
More than a dozen people have sent in resumes to replace Michele Goss, who recently resigned from the position. One candidate is coming to Warren from as far as Florida. Another candidate, who lives about three hours from the county, expressed interest in having a ZOOM interview instead of driving to the county.
Last week, Commissioner Denny Malloy expressed interest in having a new dog warden in place by mid-January. The county also is looking to hire a deputy dog warden.
Human Resources Director Alexandra DeVengencie-Bush suggested the commissioners first decide on the dog warden and then look to hire the deputy.
“Many of the candidates applied for both positions,” she said.
