LIBERTY — A candlelight worship service took place Tuesday at the Unity Spiritual Centre in Liberty.

The theme for the service was the story of the Maji — the three kings who brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the baby Jesus.

In photo above, Amelia Lewis, 4, gets help from her father, Collin Lewis, both of Berlin Center, in lighting a candle. Watching is Anna Lewis, 8, of Austintown, Amelia’s cousin, and Phyllis Lewis of Austintown, her grandmother. Members of the center could come to the front of the church and have a candle they were given lit. Churches and parishes throughout the Mahoning Valley will be hosting special holiday services Wednesday and Thursday for Christmas.
