Mahoning indictments this week mostly from drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury indicted 11 people Thursday, mostly on drug related offenses.

One of those was Marcus Wilkins, 37, Cornell Avenue, on charges of cocaine possession, aggravated drug possession and fentanyl-related compound possession, all with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case, and misdemeanor charge of obstructing official business.

If Wilkins were to be convicted of the cocaine possession charge, a first-degree felony, he could get more than 10 years in prison. The charges occurred Oct. 23, according to Wilkins’ indictment.

Others indicted Thursday are:

• Eugene Frazier, 39, East High Avenue, receiving stolen property, cocaine possession, fentanyl-related compound possession and three counts of aggravated drug possession.

• Frankie Reese, 75, Southern Boulevard, cocaine possession.

• Aaron Keys, 34, East Avondale Avenue, cocaine possession.

• Brittney Lee, 36, Brandywine Drive, aggravated drug possession and two counts of fentanyl related compound possession.

• Matthew A. Conti, 39, Cornell Avenue, aggravated drug possession and fentanyl-related compound possession.

• Mitchell Alexander, 39, Mahoning County jail, cocaine possession.

• Damarius Jones, 27, Cedar Avenue, Sharon, Pa., fentanyl-related compound possession, cocaine possession and three counts of aggravated drug possession, all with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

• Dominique Thomas, 36, Mahoning County jail, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.

• Kvaughn Royal, 19, Medford Avenue, Poland, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

• Jamel Smith, 33, Mahoning County jail, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and tampering with evidence.
