Police seize large bags of drugs at South Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — Charges are pending further investigation against a man who owns a house in the 600 block of West LaClede Avenue near Glenwood Avenue after Youngstown police found a large amount of drugs under and inside a car and inside the house when they served a search warrant there Wednesday afternoon.

In addition to the drugs, officers seized a loaded firearm from inside the car that had the drugs and towed two vehicles from the house for investigative purposes.

Among the drugs seized were large bags of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. Most of it was under a car. Officers also seized two “Night Owl” cameras on the outside of the house.

Because the man who owns the house matches the description of a man who has been distributing narcotics from the house, mail with his name on it was found in the home and both vehicles seized were registered to the man, “charges will be filed in the Youngstown Municipal Court,” a Youngstown police report states.

Starting at $3.23/week.
