WHAT: Board of education meeting Thursday

PRESENT: Vincent Ragozine, Joe Castor, Sue Ellen Harris-Davis, Joseph Datchuk and Tammy KIng

The board:

• Announced a time capsule buried 25 years ago will be undug at a ceremony at 10 a.m. Nov. 25 at Girard Intermediate School. Retired teachers Rita O’Brien and Beverly Young have been invited. Superintendent Bryan O’Hara said plans are for a new time capsule to be buried this school year.

• Approved Janice Semple as a substitute school nurse at $17.50 per hour, Robert Catchpole as a substitute bus driver at $19 per hour, both on an as-needed basis, and Truman Boylen as a substitute bus mechanic at $30 per hour.

• Approved Ryan Dunn as an on-board instructor at $30 per hour for the transportation department on an as-needed basis.

• Approved Best Bus Logic LLC for transportation virtual support and assistance for bus drivers at $370.
