The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash Wednesday in Boardman.

Troopers from the patrol’s Canfield Post reported the crash occurred at 4:16 a.m. Wednesday on Market Street near Forest Lake Drive.

Reports indicate a 2003 Toyota Corolla, operated by Raymond W. Dickey, 60, of Youngstown, was traveling south on Market Street.

Dickey drove off the right side of the road, striking a utility pole and a light pole, the patrol reported.

Reports indicate Dickey was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Departments assisting on scene were Boardman police, fire and EMS along with the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this crash, the report said.
