AUSTINTOWN — Austintown Community Events hosted its second installment of Family Fun Day on Saturday on Patriot Boulevard in the township’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area off state Route 46.

Austintown Community Events is an organization formed by the township trustees. All proceeds from the day are going toward the Austintown Fitch Junior ROTC program and robotics team.

In addition, Quaker Steak & Lube and Biker Brewhouse donated $1 from every beer sale to the nonprofit Guitars for Vets.

Township Trustee Robert Santos said the amount was still being tallied Sunday afternoon.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which ran all day.
