Ten Mahoning County projects get state funding

Ten projects in Mahoning County were awarded a combined $5.37 million in grants and loans by the Ohio Public Works Commission.
Nine of the projects received grants while a second phase to the Boardman wastewater treatment plant tank rehabilitation received a $2,052,000 loan.
The projects receiving grants are:
•$224,262 for street resurfacing in Austintown.
•$481,258 for road improvements in Youngstown.
•$975,000 for road and bridge improvements throughout Mahoning County.
•$1 million for work to Glenwood Avenue.
•$350,000 to the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District for a main pump station valve and line replacement.
• $60,840 for road resurfacing in Milton Township.
• $74,825 for road resurfacing in Poland Township.
•$74,780 for road improvements in Craig Beach.
•$75,000 for pavement replacement in Poland Village.
