Portion of MetroParks Bikeway to close for 3 weeks
AUSTINTOWN — A 2.3-mile section of the Mill Creek MetroParks Bikeway from Silica Road to New Road in Austintown will be closed for about three weeks starting Monday while that section is repaved, according to a Mill Creek MetroParks news release.
During the closure, the section from New Road to Silica Road will not be accessible, including the Mahoning Avenue Bridge. Park visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly and use alternate portions of the MetroParks Bikeway or other park trails during the closure, the release states.
Construction is expected to last about three weeks, pending weather conditions.
