WHAT: City council meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Richard Bayus, Dallas Bigley, Ronald Carcelli, Lori Gomon, Michael Patrick and Megan Pingley

ABSENT: James Baluck and Robert Burnside

Council:

• Voted to establish the position, salary and employment provisions for the Assistant Superintendent of the wastewater plant, which is a department head position.

• Authorized the mayor to enter into a purchase agreement with the Cardinal Joint Fire District in Canfield for a 2017 Ford F-450 4×4 Type 1 Super Warrior ambulance to be used by the Struthers Fire Department at a cost not to exceed $90,000, which will be taken from the Medical Transport Fund.

• Set a fee of $250 for the owner of a property when the city is required to cut their grass. The fee will be assessed on the owner’s property tax bill.
