MCDONALD — The McDonald Board of Education is seeking an individual to fill a seat on the board left vacant by the resignation of board member Jody Klase.

The term will expire Dec. 31.

All applicants should email a letter of interest by June 22 to Board President Donna Shields at shied@mcdonald.k12.oh.us.

Klase said in her letter that because of increasing work responsibilities and professional obligations, she is no longer able to dedicate the time and attention the board and the community deserve.

“It has been an honor to serve alongside such a dedicated group of individuals over the past 10 years and to contribute to the mission of supporting our schools, students and educators. I remain fully supportive of the work being done by the board and the district, and I am confident that the important efforts we have made together will continue to have a positive impact on the community,” Klase said.
