Car shot at on I-680 North
YOUNGSTOWN — Gunfire struck a Cadillac as it traveled north on the state Route 711 connector in Youngstown at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Youngstown police report.
Officers responded to a call of a vehicle being shot at and located the vehicle on I-680 northbound just before Route 711.
The driver of the car said that while he was driving, he began “taking gunfire” and said he did not see who was shooting or what type of vehicle the shooter was in, the report states.
Officers saw about eight bullet holes in the driver’s side of the car, plus one in the hood and another in the rear of the car. The passenger side headrest was hit with multiple gunshots, the report added. Two bullet shell casings were found on the road.
