AUSTINTOWN — Staging for the parade will begin at 9 a.m. in the Marc’s parking lot on Mahoning Avenue. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will head down Idaho Road to Austintown Fitch High School, where a ceremony will take place at 11 a.m.

BEAVER TOWNSHIP — Service begins at 11 a.m. at the veterans memorial at state Routes 164 and 165.

BOARDMAN — The 121st annual parade and service, sponsored and coordinated by the Kiwanis Club of Boardman-Youngstown and Boardman Park. Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Boardman Center Intermediate School, 7410 Market St. Starting at 9 a.m. is the Memorial Mile race, which will follow the same route as the parade. The parade will travel from Center Intermediate School, north on state Route 7 to the U.S. Route 224 intersection, then proceed east to Boardman Park.

At 11 a.m. a service will be conducted at the Boardman Park Maag outdoor amphitheater with keynote speaker and Boardman native Jennifer Baun, a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the Ohio Veterans Hall of fame.

In the event of inclement weather, the service will take place 10 a.m. in the Boardman Park Community Center.

CANFIELD — Canfield Memorial Day Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Plaza on the North Village Green. A procession to Canfield East Cemetery and the Canfield War Vets Museum follows the ceremony. Refreshments will be available at the museum after the final ceremony. In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the Canfield High School auditorium.

GREENFORD — The Greenford Ruritans will sponsor a parade at 9 a.m. titled “American Heroes.”. The parade will start from the Greenford Christian Church on Lisbon Road and head south ending at Lisbon Road and State Route 165. Dr. Marshall Bahr, an Army veteran and physician in Salem, will speak at the Green Township Square.

Dr. Marshall Bahr is a U.S. Army veteran and physician based in Salem. He started the Helping Heroes program to help veterans with mental health concerns.

POLAND — Sons of The American Legion annual Four Chaplains ceremony will take place at the War Memorial Building Post 15 (35 Cortland St.) at 9 a.m. The Memorial Day procession begins at 10 a.m. at Post 15, travels down College Street, turns onto South Main Street for a ceremony honoring those lost at sea on the Main Street Bridge, then continues to Riverside Cemetery for full Memorial Day ceremonies.

STRUTHERS — A ceremony honoring those lost at sea will take place at 9 a.m. under the bridge at Bridge Street, followed by a ceremony at Struthers High School at 10 a.m. and an AMVETS ceremony at Lake Park Cemetery at 11 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — The Smoky Hollow Memorial Day Service will take place 11:15 a.m. at the corner of Walnut Street and Rayen Avenue. The outdoor event will feature a guest speaker and refreshments. The event will be handicapped-accessible.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

BRACEVILLE — Parade starts at 11 a.m. at the center and will travel to the cemetery for a service at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at noon at the road department garage.

BROOKFIELD — Procession starts at 10 a.m. on Grove Street near the library and travels to the cemetery for a ceremony. U.S. Marine Corps veteran Corban Baker is the guest speaker. The ladies auxiliary of the fire department will hold a luncheon at the fire hall following the ceremony.

FOWLER — Services will be 10 a.m. on the center green followed by the parade and ceremony at 11 a.m.

GIRARD — A service will begin at the Girard City Cemetery at 11 a.m. Pastor Rhonda Gallagher of Trinity Lutheran Church of Girard will give an invocation and benediction. Civil Air Patrol cadets will raise the flag while the Girard High School Band plays the national anthem. Girard High School valedictorian Andrew Whitfield and salutatorian Sydney Swertfager will recite the Gettysburg Address.

The reading of all the names of Girard veterans killed in combat will be class presidents of Girard High School: Miles LaPolla, grade 9; Norah Anness, grade 10; Gage McMillan, grade 11; and Madelyn Gassman, grade 12, followed by the band playing the Armed Forces Medley. There will be a placing of the wreath with a rifle salute by the Girard Veterans Council Honor Guard, along with the playing of Taps and “Amazing Grace” by bagpiper Leslie Kloc.

HOWLAND — Hosted by Howland American Legion Post 700 at 10 a.m. at the township cemetery with Trumbull County Central District Court Judge Thomas Campbell as guest speaker.

JOHNSTON — VFW Post 7614 will hold ceremony at 10 a.m, at the cemetery located next to the fire department. Lunch will be available after the ceremony.

LEAVITTSBURG — The annual Memorial Day parade hosted by the American Legion Post 699 will begin at 10 a.m. downtown and march to the war memorial in the parking lot of the old high school immediately afterward. The speaker is Pastor John Jaros of First Community Church of Leavittsburg.

LORDSTOWN — Ceremony at 10 a.m. at the cemetery off Salt Springs Road.

NEWTON FALLS — A parade will form at the west parking lot of Cadle Company by the fire station at 10 a.m. and will move out at 10:30 a.m., heading south on North Canal to Broad Street then west on Broad Street to the West River Bridge. Judge Philip Vigorito with Kelley Brasko and Maryanne Madison from VFW Auxiliary 3332 will hold a service for the men and women lost at sea. The parade will proceed to Veterans Park, where the Memorial Day program will take place.

WARREN — Program at 11 a.m. at the Warren amphitheater with guest speaker Jim Rapone, a Vietnam veteran from Champion, who will speak on the Vietnam Memorial Wall. The parade will begins at noon and travels from Perkins Park to Mahoning Avenue and around Courthouse Square.

WEATHERSFIELD — 9 a.m. at the community park off Route 46.
