HBK donates $100,000 toward Kilcawley renovation campaign

Hill, Barth & King has donated $100,000 to the Kilcawley: Centered on the Future Campaign at Youngstown State University, the university announced Wednesday.

In recognition of its gift, the current Guest Services will now be known as the HBK CPAs & Consultants Y-Card Office. The Y-Card is YSU’s student ID used for verification and houses Pete’s Points and meal plan currency.

“We are grateful to HBK CPAs & Consultants for their prolonged support of YSU and its students for the last 30 years,” YSU President Bill Johnson said. “We appreciate their financial contribution so much.”

David J. Blasko, CPA, principal-in-charge, Midwest Region of HBK, said the donation continues the firm’s practice of giving back to the communities.

“Through my involvement with the YSU Foundation, the Williamson College of Business Administration, and various other campus organizations, I’ve gained deep appreciation for what the university means to our region,” said James Dascenzo, CPA, HBK principal and YSU Foundation Board member. “Kilcawley Center has always been where the university comes together.”
