ELLSWORTH TOWNSHIP — Three people were injured, one seriously, in an 8 a.m. Wednesday crash at state Route 45 and Palmyra Road.

All three people were transported to the hospital with injuries, the Ellsworth Township Fire Department said. Firefighters had to use rescue tools to extricate one person from their vehicle.

Two of the three people injured are under age 18.

The Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office is carrying out the crash investigation.
