Boardman woman charged with sexual battery
BOARDMAN — A local woman is charged with sexual assault after a drunken melee over the weekend.
Jordan Christine Holt, 19, of Washington Boulevard, is charged with one count of sexual battery, a third-degree felony. She made an initial appearance Tuesday in Mahoning County Boardman Court, and remains in Mahoning County jail on an $8,000 cash or surety bond. Holt is due back in court for a preliminary hearing Feb. 25.
The police report states that officers responded to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital on Friday evening for a report of a sexual assault.
The woman there told police that she and her roommate, a man, were drinking with Holt, who the report identifies as a woman, the night before at their apartment. She told police she remembered a loud verbal argument with Holt, then waking up nude and suffering from soreness and bleeding in sensitive areas. The report states police also noted bruising on the woman’s wrists and neck.
The report states the woman’s roommate told police Holt made repeated sexual advances toward him that night as well, and tried to pull his pants off. He said he exited the apartment to sit in his vehicle to avoid her.
He told police that when he returned to the apartment, it was “in complete disarray” with broken glass on the kitchen floor and blood in the bathroom, and the two women were standing in the kitchen drinking and yelling at each other. The man told police he went to bed to avoid the situation.
The man told police that several minutes later, he heard Holt on the phone with someone telling the person that she was having sex with his roommate, then he heard the two women yelling at each other again.
The report states he told police he opened his bedroom door and saw Holt restraining the woman. He said he then heard Holt trying to console the woman, and speaking softly to her, but Holt was then on the phone with another friend.
The report states the man told police he heard glass breaking in the kitchen, and more yelling, and he considered calling police. The man told police he heard Holt calling the woman vulgar names, and he believed Holt was raping her. He said he heard Holt telling the woman, in vulgar terms, to let Holt have sex with her.
The man told police he did not intervene because he recently had surgery, which limited his upper body mobility and made him weak and he was afraid he would not be able to defend himself if Holt assaulted him.
The man also told police he opened the door a while later to find the two women passed out on top of one another, the report states.
