Veterans Day events

CORTLAND — 2 p.m., Veterans Memorial at Point Park, with speaker Aaron McClain, a Gulf War veteran, U.S. Army, 3rd Armored Cavalry. The program will be presented by American Legion Post 540, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11 and the Cortland Veterans Memorial Committee.

Monday

GIRARD — The Girard Veterans Council will conduct services beginning at 6 p.m. with a parade that will start at the corner of Broadway and Market and proceed to the Girard Viaduct for a wreath service. It will then proceed to the War Memorial in front of city hall via High and Main streets. There will be a program at War Memorial.

NILES — 11 a.m., Niles American Legion Post 106 will conduct a service at the Niles Cemetery.

WARREN — A ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. NW, followed by the parade. The speaker is Cari Delgado, deputy director of the Trumbull County Veterans Service Commission. The parade, which is sponsored by the Tribune Chronicle, begins in Perkins Park between the Women’s Park and Trumbull County Tourism Bureau. It will travel south on Mahoning Avenue, past a review stand set up at the log cabin near the Trumbull County Veterans’ Memorial and then east on Market Street through the downtown area, ending at Vine and High streets.

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission will conduct a program at 11 a.m. in the county courthouse Rotunda.
