Six indicted in connection to East Side killing
Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN — Six men were indicted Thursday either directly or in connection with the Oct. 17 shooting death of Reynaldo Hernandez, 24, whose body was found Oct. 18 at Liberty Road near Wardle Avenue in the area of the Mount Hope Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Youngstown’s East Side.
Three men of the six — Andre K. Bailey, 40; Vincent Marbley, 59; and Eddie Winphrie, 41 — were indicted on two counts each of aggravated murder with gun specifications and single counts of aggravated robbery with a gun specification, tampering with evidence and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Three other men were indicted on other charges in the case. All of the indictments were in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
They are Daniel Ramsey, 43, of New Castle, Pa., on involuntary manslaughter with a gun specification and tampering with evidence; Shawn Jones, 35, on one count of tampering with evidence; and Richard W. Lightner, 40, on one count of tampering with evidence.
A Youngstown police report suggests that Hernandez was shot on Bott Street on the East Side Oct. 17.
Marbley and Winphrie appear to not be in custody. The four others are in the Mahoning County jail awaiting arraignment.
