Pedestrian killed in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating a car crash Friday evening that left a pedestrian dead.
A police report states that officers responded around 8:45 p.m. to the 2100 block of Poland Avenue for a traffic crash involving a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
The report states a 47-year-old man was transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where he later died. His identity was not released.
The driver and sole passenger of the vehicle were uninjured.
The crash is being investigated by the Youngstown Police Department’s accident investigation unit and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office.
