WHAT: Township trustees meeting Nov. 19

Trustees:

● Recommended planting a tree on the township grounds for local celebrity Peppy Laakso.

● Approved a quote from Tri-Area Electric for the NOPEC Energized Grant Lamp Lighting Replacement Project for the township Road Department. Quote includes new LED light fixtures, reworking and extending existing wiring and disposal of old fixtures. Cost of material is $1,325 and labor is $1,200, for a total of $2,525. Tri-Area agreed to complete the job by Jan. 1.

● Announced a quote was received from Masonry Repairs for Monument’s Sign at Jackson Business Park. Trustees are waiting for two more quotes.

● Approved hiring Everbrite for asphalt crack fill for the cemetery driveway.

● Approved the government building lease payment to the BNY, Mellon for $36,907.92.

● Recommend extending the Dell warranty for the server for five years to get a cost savings.

● Approved Then and Now purchase orders for MS Consultants at $6,573.08 and Richard Riococi at $7,950.67

● Requested any information on department head budgets by today for the 10 a.m. Dec.11 reorganizational meeting.

● Approved payment for the Leonard Parkway project that was completed on Nov. 7. Payment includes a credit for non-performed stripping on North Bailey Road.

● Approved paperwork to be sent to Mahoning County commissioners to receive an MOU for TIF payment.

● Announced the ambulance has been delivered from New Jersey and is expected to be checked out and in-service today.

● Approved an additional $2,464.23 for repairs to Tanker 69 pump and PTO shaft. Repairs now total $12,349.88.

● Approved staff expansion of the fire station from three to five days beginning Dec. 1.

● Approved hiring Logan Mullins as a probationary firefighter.

●Announced the dump trucks and plow were taken in for service at Everbrite.

● Announced all officers completed all of the CPT online training for the State of Ohio. The state will reimburse the township $5,822.

● Approved a 10-day only, online auction, running on govdeals.com through Saturday for three salvage vehicles.

● Approved a diesel pump expansion for Sheetz for $120,000.
