Man bound over in North Side stabbings
YOUNGSTOWN — Devin M. Nash, 30, waived his preliminary hearing Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court on two counts of felonious assault in an Oct. 25 incident in which he is accused of stabbing two people at a residential property in the 2300 block of Ohio Avenue on the North Side.
Judge Carla Baldwin bound the case over to Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for possible indictment on the high-level felony charges. If convicted, Nash could get about 16 years in prison.
A Youngstown police report states that a man and woman were found stabbed outside of the home when officers arrived at 1:02 p.m. Both victims were taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Nash had fled on foot and was located on Logan Avenue at Benita Avenue and was arrested, the report states.
Nash remains in the Mahoning County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
