≈YOUNGSTOWN — The Family Dollar store, 1833 Oak St. on the East Side, was robbed at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and a deadly weapon was used in the robbery, according to a Youngstown police report.

Officers responded to the store for a robbery in progress, but the report does not provide any other details other than “officers secured the scene, and YPD Crime Lab responded and the scene was transferred to them.”

The report states that 16 Youngstown police officers responded to the scene.
