Suspect in stabbing arraigned

YOUNGSTOWN — A man and woman were found stabbed outside of a home in the 2300 block of Ohio Avenue when police responded there at 1:02 p.m. Friday.

The suspect in the stabbings, Devin M. Nash, 30, who had fled on foot, was located on Logan Avenue at Benita Avenue and arrested on a charge of felonious assault, according to a police report released Monday.

Nash was booked into the Mahoning County jail Saturday, and remained there Monday evening, according to jail records. Both victims were taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Nash was arraigned Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court on two counts of felonious assault. If convicted, he could get about 16 years in prison. Bond was set at $50,000 on the two charges. He returns for a preliminary hearing before Judge Carla Baldwin at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 4.
