WHAT: Trustees meeting Sept. 17
PRESENT: Dave Tomaino, Wendy DiBernardi and Edward Villone
Trustees:
● Approved pursuing Everbrite’s estimate of $68,500 to pave Lillian Drive.
● Approved appointing Tyler Minkewicz to the fire department.
● Approved police Chief Charles VanDyke’s request to carry grant representative Thomas Williams on the department’s roster as a Special Officer to help him achieve his peace officer certificate.
● Approved fire Chief Kenneth Oles’ request to get several estimates on replacement tires for Engine 500. Oles explained the current tires are nearly 13 years old.
● Approved sending Engine 500 to Fallsway to get preventative maintenance done, costing $1,500. Additional repair costs will be per trustee approval only.
● Requested to have a conversation with other fire departments to pull together a contract to receive extra coverage for EMS calls, after 13 calls were unable to be covered last month.
● Heard from VanDyke that Trunk-or-Treat will be 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 26 in the fire department parking lot.
● Set a reminder that the next regular meeting will be 7 p.m. Oct. 8 at township hall.
