WHAT: Board of Education meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Nick Gallo, Jody Klase, Jessica Krumpak, Donna Shields and Kristina Merola

The board:

•Heard from Superintendent Kevin O’Connell that the concession stand / restroom building and new signage at the athletic complex have been completed and are ready for the first home varsity football game Sept, 6. The board approved $19,341 to install a fence around the gas well on the stadium property for safety.

•Appointed Shields as delegate and Krumpak as alternate to the Ohio School Boards Association’s annual business meeting Nov. 11 in Columbus.

•Approved an agreement with Trumbull County Educational Service Center at $640,828 for special needs and other services.

•Approved use of the stadium field and facilities by the McDonald Little Blue Devils at no cost.

•Approved a 60-month lease agreement with OPitney Bowes of SendPro Mailstation for a postage meter at $80.31 per quarter. The unit is used in the central office.

•Approved renewal for the PureResuts water treatment program with Gardiner for the high school and elementary schools through September 2025 at $2,472 per year.
