Man who led police on dual-county chase faces felony drug charge
CANFIELD — Jeffrey Battle, 36, who is accused of leading police on a chase through Trumbull and Mahoning counties, resulting in the seizure of 88.5 pounds of methamphetamine, is expected to return to court at 11 a.m. Friday for his preliminary hearing, according to court records.
He appeared in court for his arraignment Friday where Judge Molly K. Johnson heard his case. He is charged with one felony count of drug possession. No plea was accepted because the charge is a felony.
Battle is in the Mahoning County jail on a $200,000 bond. If he posts bond, he is ordered not to leave Ohio and must be equipped with an electronic monitoring device at all times, court records show.
