YOUNGSTOWN — The body of a white woman was found about 7 a.m. Monday on the side of the road on her back near Belleview and Ellenwood avenues on the South Side.

The Youngstown Police Department detective division took possession of the crime scene, and crime lab personnel and coroner’s office personnel went to the scene to investigate, according to a Youngstown police report.

The location is on the west side of South Side Park, and just east of a curve on Interstate 680 near South Avenue. Police officers were first dispatched to the location at 7:03 a.m. for a dead body. When they arrived, they determined she was deceased.

The police report does not provide other details.
