YOUNGSTOWN — A motorcyclist hit a city truck Wednesday, temporarily closing one lane of Canfield Road.

A Youngstown police report states Stephen Shay, 56, of Youngstown, was cited with failure to reinstate, failure to control and driving with an expired registration after crossing the center line and crashing into a pickup truck being driven by a Youngstown employee.

When police arrived, they found Shay lying in the road, complaining of lower abdominal pain and a cut about his eye, the report states. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The city worker was not injured.
