City police seek help identifying motorcycle from fatal hit and run

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a motorcycle involved in a Saturday evening accident that killed a pedestrian on South Avenue near Lucius Avenue.

The motorcycle fatally struck a pedestrian and left the scene.

The police department provided a “sample” photo of the type of motorcycle that was involved in a news release from Lt. Robert Gentile, head of the Youngstown Police Department Traffic and Accident Investigation Unit.

The motorcycle is a 2020 to 2023 light green Kawasaki Ninja 650 with front-end damage, the release states.

Anyone with information to help identify the owner or location of the motorcycle and / or driver is asked to contact the Youngstown Police Department at 330-742-8777 or Crime Stoppers at 330-746-2583 with any information or tips, which can be left anonymously.
