WHAT: City Council meeting May 6

PRESENT: Bonnie Viele, Robin Zambrini, Michael Mogg, Bill Williams, Cathy Cummings, Jerome Crowe, Michael Kerr, Ryan Hallapy and Mayor Ben Kyle

City council:

● Passed third reading to rename bridge TRU 62 0398 on U.S. Route 62 as the Hubbard First Responders Bridge.

● Passed on third reading renaming the East Park Avenue Bridge on East Park Avenue to World War I and World War II Veterans Memorial Bridge.

● Passed second reading to file a Natureworks grant application with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for updating or developing outdoor areas.

● Passed first reading authorizing the Board of Control to advertise for a contract for tree pruning, removal and stump grinding for 2024 to 2026.

● Passed first reading for the Board of Control to enter into a contract with Kirila Contractors, Inc. for a 2024 street improvement project and for declaring an emergency.
