Jackson-Milton board renews contract of superintendent
NORTH JACKSON — Jackson-Milton’s Board of Education voted 4-1 Thursday to renew Superintendent Kirk Baker’s contract.
Baker’s contract begins Aug. 1, 2025, and runs through July 31, 2028. His base salary will be $137,341 for the entirety of it, according to an email from school Treasurer John Zinger.
Zinger added that since the board approved Baker’s contract in advance, his salary for next year prior to his new contract’s start date will be the same.
Board Vice President Kim Pittman was the only vote against the decision.
