Sentencing date reset for elderly Weathersfield man on child porn charges
WARREN — The sentencing of a 72-year-old Weathersfield man on child pornography charges has been reset for two weeks.
Harold Bennett will now be sentenced by Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas Judge Andrew D. Logan on seven counts of pandering sexually oriented materials involving minors on Feb. 6.
He was originally scheduled for sentencing Tuesday. Bennett’s arrest came after a tip was made to the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The indictment states he possessed sexually explicit images of children who were between the ages of three months and 9 years old being forced to commit sex acts. The indictment states Bennett viewed the images in or around the timeframe of January 2019 and June 2023.
