WHAT: Trustees organizational and regular meeting Jan. 9
PRESENT: William Colletta, Jason Tedrow and Rick Hernandez
Trustees:
● Named Colletta chairman and Hernandez as vice chairman.
● Appointed Hernandez as representative to the Eagle Joint Fire District, and zoning division administrator coordinator.
● Appointed Tedrow to road division administrative coordinator, representative to the Trumbull County Council of Governments, and to the Hubbard Senior Citizens Center.
● Appointed Colletta to police division administrative coordinator, representative to the EastGate Regional Council of Governments, Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency, Hubbard Union Joint Cemetery Board, public information officer and to Trumbull County Board of Health.
● Named Colletta and Fiscal Officer Jennifer Evans to the Township Records Commission and to Trumbull County Tax Incentive Review Council.
● Set meetings for 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month with no meeting in August.
● Approved Stephen Zubyk as zoning administrator and Rene McCarthy as zoning inspector.
● Approved reappointments of Albert Alexander, Kim Learn, Jim Phibbs to zoning appeals board and Ray Mc Elroy and Margaret Evans to planning and zoning commission.
● Named Tedrow as the contact for the township on the Coalburg Lake initiative.
● Named officer William Greene as acting police chief as police Chief Ron Fusco is off sick.
● Approved equally sharing the costs for the senior citizen center and the senior citizen van with Hubbard city.
● Heard from Hernandez the fire district is looking to hire full-time firefighters and has an ambulance in place.
● Heard from Jeff Rowlands the comprehensive plan committee held its first meeting to review the compatibility study and military overlay of the district.
