Boardman police name shooting victim

BOARDMAN — Police have released the name of a man killed in the township over the weekend.

Boardman police Chief Todd Werth said Michael Kosarich, 30, of Youngstown, was fatally shot when someone opened fire on his vehicle after 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The shooting happened near the corner of Market Street and Indianola Road.

Werth said detectives continue to investigate and are following multiple leads. He said the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is processing Kosarich’s vehicle for evidence.
