N. Lima salon owner’s husband killed in crash

The owner of South Range Hair Studio in North Lima, Staci Solvesky, 51, was seriously injured in a crash Wednesday night in Pinellas County, Florida, that also killed her husband, Ron, 52, and injured their son, Hunter, 24.

According to reports, the Solevsky family was leaving the airport in a ride-share vehicle when the car was struck head-on by another vehicle being pursued by police just before 11 p.m. They were in Florida visiting family, according to a GoFundMe page created.

A Florida State Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop a stolen Ford Mustang on a bridge when the driver rammed his cruiser, a report states. The driver took off at high speeds along Interstate 275 before colliding with the Dodge Caravan carrying the Solvesky family. The Uber driver also died in the crash, troopers said.

The man driving the stolen Mustang, Leosvany Arias Roman, 22, of Hialeah, Florida, also was seriously injured. He is being charged with felony murder and vehicular homicide, among other charges.
