Man wounded in Christmas Day shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — A man, 42, was injured in a shooting that took place at a home in the first block of Wesley Avenue on the West Side on Christmas Day.
Police said it was a “family party inside the house.”
The man was in stable condition later at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Police were called to the home at 7:31 p.m. for a shooting and learned that the victim had been transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.
When police arrived at the home, they determined that no other people were injured.
Police collected three bullet-shell casings found in the living room of the home.
