Lowellville man faces 9 years on drug charges
Staff report
WARREN — A Lowellville man pleaded guilty to three third-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs charges stemming from a January investigation by local anti-drug task force agents.
Kenneth Barnes, 32, of West Wood Street, faces up to nine years in prison but will be sentenced by Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Sean O’Brien following the completion of a background investigation by probation officers.
The Trumbull County Sheriff’s TAG anti-drug task force conducted an investigation in which Barnes sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant on two separate occasions in early January. Barnes’ vehicle was searched during a traffic stop at a later date and officers discovered 12.12 grams of methamphetamine.
