Vindicator Thanksgiving paper ready a day early
Early release of the Thanksgiving Day newspaper once again is scheduled as an added convenience this year because many local stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. It also gives shoppers a head start in mapping out their Black Friday shopping plans one day early.
The Vindicator’s release of the “Early Bird” Thanksgiving Day edition — on news stands where The Vindicator is sold by Wednesday afternoon — has quickly become a holiday tradition.
As always, all home delivery customers will receive their Thanksgiving Day newspaper and sales inserts delivered to their homes no later than early Thursday morning. But if carriers are available Wednesday afternoon for your home delivery route, some readers even may be surprised with the delivery of Thursday’s newspaper late Wednesday afternoon or evening — so check your doorstep or newspaper delivery box.
“Just like turkey and stuffing and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, we know the Thanksgiving edition of The Vindicator also has become a holiday tradition for readers getting ready to hit area retailers early Friday morning,” newspaper General Manager Ted Snyder said.
To make sure readers have ample time to digest all of the deals — along with their Thanksgiving dinner — and to map out their Christmas shopping plans, The Vindicator Thanksgiving Day edition will be available after 3 p.m. Wednesday on area news stands.
Any developing news throughout the day Wednesday and Thursday will be updated at www.vindy.com, and included in Friday’s print edition.
Snyder suggests subscribing to The Vindicator in order to get your hands on all the news and deals without having to leave your house on Thanksgiving Day or risk missing out if this high-demand edition of the newspaper gets sold out early.
“The best way to be guaranteed a copy of the Thanksgiving edition is to be a home subscriber. But if you’re not, look for it at your favorite retail location,” Snyder said.
