WHAT: Township trustees meeting Nov. 14
PRESENT: Dave Tomaino, Wendy DiBernardi and Edward Villone
Trustees:
• Approved pursuing RC Construction's estimate of $2,000 for snow guards to be installed on the fire department's rear and front. Interim fire Chief Kenneth Oles mentioned at last month's meeting that it had been an ongoing issue that was ignored previously.
• Discussed details and costs to start renting the township's fire hall to the public. Officials plan to continue to get estimates and obtain a contract example from the prosecutor's office.
• Heard from police Chief Charles Van Dyke that Cruiser 506 is currently at Stratton Chevrolet for an engine issue and they have not received a diagnosis or cost estimate.
• Approved a list of potential properties to send to the Mahoning County Land Bank for possible demolition.
• Approved Dave Tomaino to sign grant paperwork for the OPWC project.
• Set a reminder that the next meeting will be at town hall at 7 p.m. Dec. 19.
