YOUNGSTOWN -- Today is the last day to register to participate in the city's Dec. 1 holiday parade.
To register, go to youngstowncityscape.org.
The parade will step off at 6 p.m. from the Covelli Centre, go up South Walnut Street to West Federal Street to Vindicator Square and then to Front Street and end at the Covelli Centre.
The downtown holiday celebration also includes vendors selling items at 4 p.m. on North Phelps Street as part of Flea on Phelps and the Christmas tree lighting on Central Square at the conclusion of the parade, about 7:15 p.m.
Santa's Workshop, a pop-up shop and free pictures with Santa will take place at 6 W. Federal St.
Drink specialswith a commemorative mug will be featured at downtown restaurants and bars.
There is free admission from 4 to 6 p.m. at OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science & Technology on the square and a pop-up library, also on the square, from the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County.
The event is sponsored by the city of Youngstown, Youngstown CityScape, the Downtown Youngstown Partnership, Premier Bank and WFMJ-TV21.
