WHAT: Township trustees meeting Tuesday
PRESENT: Tom Frost, Alan Hemphill and John Jakubec
Trustees:
• Received a service order for $4,500 from MS Consultants for cemetery paving.
• Approved the conclusion of fire Chief Michael Mortimer's probationary period. Officials said they appreciated the job he has done and initiative in sticking through the April 1 fire.
• Set the township's trick or treat 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31.
• Mortimer reported that they have received the binder lifts purchased with EMS Grant funds.
• Mortimer announced that the fire department is hosting Grab and Go Trick or Treat 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31. Anyone who wants to come up and hand candy out of their vehicles or set up at the fire station is welcome to come. He added that it gives kids a chance to get more candy and a safer place to roam around.
