Youngstown woman indicted in Aug. 2 Walmart incident

YOUNGSTOWN — Jerwanda M. Atkins, 31, of East Florida Avenue, was indicted Thursday on a felony charge of obstructing official business and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and theft.

The charges are related to a 4:10 p.m. Aug. 2 shoplifting incident at Walmart on Doral Drive in Boardman.

If convicted, Atkins is likely to get probation and possible jail time.

Others indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury are:

• Jacquane J. Robinson, 19, Dean Avenue, assault and obstructing official business;

• Thomas R. Vititow, 41, Carter Circle, Boardman, tampering with evidence, aggravated drug possession, drug possession, possessing drug abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug abuse instruments;

• Christopher Draxinger, 45, Oakmont, Pa., aggravated drug possession;

• Gregory Clark, 30, Hammaker Ave., arson, criminal damaging and aggravated menacing;

• Davon T. London, 24, Mahoning County jail, failure to comply with the order of a police officer with a firearm specification, tampering with evidence, cocaine possession with a firearm specification, drug possession with a firearm specification, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, obstructing official business with two firearm specifications and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Lawrence A. Vega, 19, Mahoning County jail, tampering with evidence, cocaine possession with a firearm specification, drug possession with a firearm specification, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, fentanyl-related compound possession with two gun specifications, obstructing official business with two firearm specifications and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Nyland S. White, 26, West Judson Avenue, aggravated drug possession;

• David L. Shaffer, 48, Niles Carver Road, Mineral Ridge, theft from a person in a protected class;

• Trudarious J. McClendon, 20, Foster Drive NE, Warren, identity fraud, tampering with records, forgery and grand theft of a motor vehicle;

• Jaleesa M. Williams, 32, New Road, Austintown, intimidation, assault and obstructing official business;

• Andrew McCourt, 36, last known address is Mahoning Avenue, two counts of escape.
