Police activity reported Sept. 6-12:

Sept. 12, 2:50 p.m. — Benjamin J. Phillips, 26, 410 Elruth Court, Girard, voluntarily turned himself in on a Boardman warrant for drug possession.

Sept. 11, 9:46 a.m. — A 16-year-old Youngstown girl was arrested on a charge of unruly juvenile following a disapatch to Sheetz, 134 Boardman-Canfield Road, regarding a runaway.

Sept. 10, 1 a.m. — Anthony Torres, 22, 165 Bouquet Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while impaired, failure to obey a traffic control device, and was cited for open container, following an investigation into a traffic stop on a vehicle that left the OVI checkpoint on Market Street without stopping.

1 a.m. — Navala K. Donnell, 18, 1229 Randolph St., New Castle, Pa., was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence following an investigation into a diverted vehicle at the OVI checkpoint on Market Street.

Sept. 9, 11 p.m. — Cory L. Dodd-Buamgartner, 34, 3570 Valerie Drive, Youngstown, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without an operator’s license, and on an undisclosed Trumbull County warrant following an investigation into a diverted vehicle at the OVI checkpoint on Market Street.

10:46 p.m. — Surgeo D. McMullin, 34, 105 N. Osborne Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a Campbell warrant for failure to appear following an investigation into a diverted vehicle at the OVI checkpoint on Market Street.

10:14 p.m. — Michael J. Rubin, 43, 4054 St. Andrews Court, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for failure to stop at an OVI checkpoint, following a traffic stop on Market Street.

7:15 a.m. — Jonathan A. Gray, 35, 24 Romaine Ave., Boardman, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence.

Sept. 8, 8:35 p.m. — Jerome R. Varga, 45, 3424 Tall Oaks Lane, Austintown, was arrested by Austintown police on a Boardman warrant for theft by deception.

7:10 p.m. — Terry D. Quickle, 46, 7176 Glendale Ave., Boardman, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence and Joshua B. Burris, 39, 317 Chestnut St., Lisbon, was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business following a call to 7167 Glendale Ave. regarding four men fighting.

Sept. 7, — 7:20 p.m. Larry W. Kelley, 33, 86 Leighton Ave., Boardman, voluntarily turned himself in on a theft offense.

3:06 p.m. — Rodney D. Sanders, 58, 127 Danbury Drive, Boardman, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence.

2:41 a.m. — Dante J. Jones, 32, 210 Sabal Drive, Palmetto, Ga., was arrested on a charge of failure to comply and was cited for reckless operation and disobeying a traffic control device, following a vehicle chase that ended on Market Street just north of Midlothian Boulevard.

Sept. 6, 10:42 p.m. — Darren N. Woods, 33, 818 13th St., New Brighton, Pa., was arrested on a charge of theft after a shoplifting call at Walmart.

8:18 p.m. — A 13-year-old Youngstown boy and a 12-year-old Boardman boy were each arrested on charges of theft following a call about two shoplifters at a Doral Drive store.

5:22 p.m. — A 13-year-old Boardman boy and a 15-year-old Boardman boy were each arrested on charges of breaking and entering and juvenile possession of nicotine vapes following a report of a stolen bike from an Applecrest Court residence.

5:03 p.m. — Stephen A. McDermott, 28, 8789 Bedell Road, Berlin Center, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments and was cited for improper display of plates (no validation sticker), following a traffic stop on Sciota Avenue.

Police activity reported Aug. 29-Sept. 9:

Sept. 9 — Aeva Maffei, 23, 2373 West Sixth St., McDonald, was issued summons for drug abuse (THC gummies), possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana grinder/pipe) and open container (Twisted Tea) in a motor vehicle, following a traffic stop on Lisbon Street.

Sept. 8 — Nicole McElwain, 32, 2620 Deerfield-Windham Road, Deerfield, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for an open container following a traffic stop on West Main Street.

Sept. 3 — Mutual aid (police dog) was provided to Boardman police in the 100 block of Argyle Avenue in Boardman in an attempt to locate suspects from a burglary.

Sept. 3 — Mutual aid (police dog) was provided to Niles police in the Erie and Allison Street area of Niles in an attempt to locate suspects that attempted to steal a vehicle.

Sept. 3 — Andrea Castillo, 18, 111 Elliot Lane, Youngstown, was issued a summons for drug abuse (marijuana) following a traffic stop on Fairground Boulevard.

Sept. 3 — Justin Gallagher, 19, 1350 Northfield Drive, Austintown, was cited for passing in a no passing zone following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Fairground Boulevard and East Main Street.

Sept. 2 — Mutual aid was provided to Mahoning County Sheriff deputies involved in a traffic stop on Boardman-Canfield Road for a suspected impaired driver.

Aug. 29 — A 14-year-old Struthers girl was summoned to the Juvenile Justice Center for being a delinquent child by way of disorderly conduct and a 15-year-old Youngstown girl was summoned to the Juvenile Justice Center for being a delinquent child by way of assault and disorderly conduct following a response to a fight in the cafeteria at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

Aug. 28, 6:45 p.m. — Criminal damaging to a door reported at 203 Westminister Ave.

3:32 p.m. — Glenn M. Campbell, 51, 2555 Key Gate Drive, Toledo, voluntarily turned himself in on an Austintown warrant.

11:12 a.m. — Ciera S. Wilson, 30, 701 Summit Ave., Niles, was arrested by Warren police on an Austintown warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

10:36 a.m. — Theft of undisclosed items reported at Dollar General, 4381 Kirk Road.

10:35 a.m. — Charles Gray, 35, 3061 Oregon Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on an Austintown warrant for violation of a protection order, following a call to 168 N. Meridian Road.

Aug. 27, 8 a.m. — A person was “seriously scammed” at Fairfield Inn on North Canfield Niles Road.

Aug. 26, 9:30 p.m. — Christopher T. Mountain, 38, 12094 Diehl Road, Ellsworth, was arrested on a Mahoning County warrant for having weapons while intoxicated, following a report of a vehicle driving recklessly on Mahoning Avenue that was located at the Austintown Plaza.

5:18 p.m. — A vehicle’s passenger side window was broken at BW3, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

1:18 p.m. — Theft of 30 Firestone tires valued at $17,310 reported at T/A Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-six Drive.

2:50 a.m. — Charles A. Hyatt, 24, 4251 Crum Road, Austintown, was arrested on a charge of physical control while intoxicated, following the observation of a driver asleep at the wheel at BP, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 25, 12:27 a.m. — Malik T. Henry, 27, 2079 Milton-Newton Road, Lake Milton, was arrested on charges of falsification and obstructing official business, and was cited for driving while under suspension and expired registration, following a traffic stop on South Meridian Road.

Aug. 24, 9:36 a.m. — A building was damaged at 4249 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 29, 7:20 p.m. — Ryan M. Massey, 19, 60 Sciota Ave., Boardman, was arrested on a Boardman warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, following a call to Shell North regarding a missing wallet report.

2:37 a.m. — Dontrell D. Collins, 26, 5414 Southern Blvd., Boardman, voluntarily turned himself in on a Boardman warrant for felonious assault.

Aug. 27, 4:15 a.m. — Garrett W. Brewster, 29, 115 Shields Road, Boardman, was arrested on a statewide Ohio warrant for felony robbery, following an investigation into a suspicious person riding a bike on Market Street.

Aug. 26, 6:43 p.m. — Scott L. Pelton, 26, 5885 Oak St., Andover, was arrested on a Meadville, Pa., warrant for possession of dangerous drugs.

1:45 a.m. — Miranda R. McCann, 22, 115 W. LaClede Ave., Youngstown, and Isaiah M. Donley, 24, of the same address, were each arrested on a charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, following a diverted vehicle at an OVI checkpoint on Market Street that appeared to be a rolling domestic situation.

Aug. 25, 4:25 p.m. — David A. Weidner, 63, 100 High St., Lowellville, voluntarily turned himself in on a Boardman warrant for engaging in prostitution.

2:30 p.m. — Anthony Seidita, 58, 838 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of theft and on a Boardman permit for larceny.

Aug. 24, 6:24 p.m. — John J. Bialik, 46, 450 Mathews Road, Boardman, was arrested on charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest following a call for a domestic incident.

4:31 p.m. — Omar J. Dean, 49, 352 E. Florida Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing.

9 a.m. — John D. Druzisky, 56, 7523 Jaguar Drive, Boardman, voluntarily turned himself in on Boardman warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
