Car hit by gunfire after confrontations on South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — A woman reported that she was shot at while at the Shell gas station, 3200 Market St., about 7:15 p.m. Sunday.

She told police she was at the gas station with her brother. She pulled up to a pump and got out of the car, leaving her brother in the car.

While she was inside the store, a man pulled up in an older, gold Chevrolet Tahoe and brandished a firearm but did not say anything.

The woman said she drove away to the Taco Bell on Market Street to pick up a Doordash order.

After getting the order, she drove west on Judson Avenue and encountered the man in the Tahoe again. This time he fired two times at her vehicle, striking it once. No injuries were reported.

An officer saw a bullet hole in her vehicle. Surveillance video at the gas station showed the Tahoe, police said.
