BOARDMAN — Boardman Community Day will be Saturday in Boardman Park.

This annual event celebrates the history of the township and provides a variety of fun events for all ages.

Free community activities will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and include wagon rides through the park, face painting, bouncy houses and inflatable slides, as well as the Touch a Truck event with a Boardman fire truck, police car, a bus, and more.

A variety of Boardman community organizations and services will have information tables. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the event and free snacks will be distributed to children, while they last.

At 6:30 p.m. live music by No Funk No Justice, a local artist, will be on stage at the Maag Outdoor Theatre. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.

Fireworks will complete Boardman’s day of celebration and will begin approximately at 8:30 p.m.

This community event is sponsored by Boardman Park and Boardman Township administration. Event sponsors are Aqua Ohio, Boardman Subaru and Phantom Fireworks.
