BOARDMAN — No one was injured Tuesday when a car crashed into the front of the Mahoning County District AAA.
Boardman police received a call at 11:48 a.m. that a woman accidentally had driven into the front of the automobile club’s building at 1275 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Bill Glaser, assistant chief with the Boardman Fire Department, said the building was evacuated as a precaution because of heavy structural damage.
Jim Garrity, director of public affairs for AAA’s East-Central Division, said nobody in the office was injured, but the branch will be closed temporarily while the damage is assessed and a time line is determined for repairs and reopening.
Garrity said members who usually use the Boardman office should contact the Niles branch at 937 Youngstown-Warren Road.
He said the accident is under investigation, but Boardman police could not be reached for comment or more details Tuesday afternoon.
