Brown urges locating technology and innovation hubs in Ohio
Staff report
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Cleveland, is urging the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration to consider locating Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs in Ohio.
This, he wrote in a letter, would continue the state’s leadership in manufacturing and innovation. He specifically mentions a range of industries from sustainable polymer to artificial intelligence in northeast Ohio.
The Tech Hubs Program was created by the CHIPS Act, and is designed to drive regional technology and innovation-centric growth by strengthening a region’s capacity to manufacture, commercialize, and deploy critical technologies.
