NORTH JACKSON -- The person who died in a house fire Wednesday morning has been identified by the Mahoning County Coroner's Office as 64-year-old Kim Baumgartner.
The first fire truck arrived to 3764 Rosemont Road at 12:49 a.m. She was found near the area where the fire started.
North Jackson fire Chief Michael Mortimer said the blaze was mostly contained near the rear of the house. Baumgartner died on the second floor of the house, he said.
Still under investigation is the fire cause. Two people, along with a dog, made it out of the house.
The coroner's office said an autopsy will be done. Also investigating the scene is the state fire marshal's office.
