LEETONIA — It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Charles E. “Chuck” Duke Jr., 70. Chuck passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, surrounded by family.

Chuck was born Dec. 11, 1952, in Youngstown. He grew up in the Youngstown area and graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1971. Chuck served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1976, during the Vietnam War.

Chuck is survived by his wife, siblings, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

He was a selfless, genuine, hilarious man, who always had a story to tell. He devoted his life to his family and will be remembered for the joy he brought to all who knew him.

He was an avid pool player throughout his life and was a member of various pool leagues with his cue stick, “Betsy.”

Per Chuck’s request, no services will be held. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Greenisen family at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
