Austintown resident released on bond in June 30 shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — Ellis Moody III, 40, posted $25,000 bond Tuesday and was released from the Mahoning County jail after being arraigned Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court on two counts of felonious assault.

The charges against Moody, of Fountain Square Drive in Austintown, relate to the June 30 shooting of a man who suffered minor injuries on Donation Avenue on Youngstown’s East Side. Police said the shooting took place about 9:30 p.m.

Youngstown police arrested Moody on Monday at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital on a warrant connected to the two felonious assault charges, according to a Youngstown police report. The charges were filed Thursday, according to Youngstown Municipal Court records.
